Location

San Donato Val Comino is a medieval village situated in the hills of Monte Pizzuto at 728 meter above sea level in the province of Frosinone, border between the Abruzzo region, over the mountainous of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.

Immersed in the nature and protected by mountains that embraced it, giving it a privileged, suggestive overview of all the valley, San Donato is one of the most beautiful Italian villages for its enchanting position, maravillous nature and greens in which it is immersed: woods of pine-trees, beechs, olive-trees et cetera.

Besides the flora, for the restrictive acts of the National Park, San Donato has a really vivacious and bright fauna.
Among the animals you can meet in the Park there are: Il Gallo Cedrone (Capercaillie), who named our family and, consequently, our boarding house, l’Orso Bruno Marsicano (Marsican brown bear), l’Aquila Reale (Royal Eagle).

The beauty of the medieval village is characterised by enchanting old houses that follow one after the others in a stone labyrinth characterized by winding little streets, alleys, covered passages, small squares, in a perfect medieval draw(..) as the site of the most beautiful Italian villages says.
